IN addition to his work as CEO of the Manning Centre for Building Democracy, Preston Manning is host of CBC Radio One’s This I Believe – a forum for Canadians to present essays on their core convictions.

Manning concluded on a spiritual note, declaring: “I especially believe that it is my relationship with God, as the ultimate source of being, that very much determines the strength, character and meaning of all my other relationships.

“In my life, this belief in God is shaped by and rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus. It leads me to commit time and energy to such practices as prayer, the study of scripture, fellowship with other believers and service to others.”
