THE Indian community of Metro Vancouver held a peace rally October 25 outside the Vancouver Art Gallery in support of Christians in India who have been suffering persecution for their faith, especially in the states of Orissa, Karnataka, Kerala and Madya Pradesh.

Little has been done to curb the worsening violence. Many Christians have been killed and raped, and churches have been damaged by fire and vandalism.

The annual International Day of Prayer (IDOP) for persecuted Christians will be observed in more than 130 countries November 9. For details: www.idop.ca.
