BC Christian News is
pleased to announce that our regular music columnist Kevin Pollard was
honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award, along with fellow Rhythm and
News bandmates (pictured from left to right: Brad Strelau, Todd Wickens,
Spencer Welch, Kevin Pollard, Mark Batten) at the Gospel Music Association
of Canada 30th Annual Covenant Awards October 24.
A highlight reel was shown recapping the albums,
touring and influence the B.C. group had on Christian music in Canada,
spanning the years 1987 – 1998.
Then the guys took to the stage to offer up their
harmonies to the audience of industry veterans and fellow musicians.
An unprecedented 55 Covenant Awards were handed out in
a range of categories, in Calgary, ranging from worship and country to rock
