30 Hour Famine - history

I have some questions about the history in this article. I know that I helped organize a 30 hour famine in my Catholic high school(Bishop Grandin)in Calgary in either 1968 or 1969. It can't be any later since I graduated from high school in 1969. I don't remember if we were the very first one or not. I will need to do some more research on this. I'm not sure if it was my idea or someone else in the school, or if we got it from somewhere else. I have a vague memory of it being connected with an outside group and the name World Vision does seem to fit. If anyone else from that time and place can remember any more details please contact me at Michael Horner maah@shaw.ca.
