Following the brutal torture & murder of her son, Matthew Shepard, in Laramie, Wyoming, some years ago, his mother said that she didn't blame the young killers of her son so much as society for giving them permission to do so. Opposition to the bullying of gay youth does exactly that. It passes on a message of hatred, bigotry, & intolerance. It is so breathtaking in its barbarism, that I do not want to hear anything about persecuted Christians anywhere on the planet until such time as the faith based acquire a sense of human & civil rights, respect for each & every human life in Canada, & make attempts at understanding the concept of human dignity. In 40 years, I've seen none of the above. It has taken the compassionate wisdom of government & our judiciary to introduce the religious to the fact that we are a secular democracy & will remain so. Freedom of religion is an essential component of liberty. It does not, however, involve the right to deny, diminish, or eliminate; the rights of others. The perspective that says according rights to others is against your religious beliefs , is a non-starter. I've had three friends murdered over the last 25 years, in crimes of unspeakable brutality that have never been solved. If you want to follow the teachings of the Prince of Peace, when he said "love your neighbor as yourself", solve these crimes, & do it yesterday.

For all who are about to give up, you could try one last thing, after all it can't make it worse. Pastor Tozer said 'when people get saved we don't tell them that they must pray fervently and live in praise and worship because we all have the spirit of degeneration' . Try to forget and bury the ill feelings towards God for just 10 minutes and thank God for everything.Sing to Him your favourite worship song or praise song, try it.

At these events, the grace and truth of Jesus Christ was explicitly communicated in presenters and attendees attitudes, words, music and deeds. This peculiar explicitness is a positive.

Quote:"72 percent of Canadians want some form of protection for children in the womb"

And probably a greater number of Canadians want "some form of protection for animals" too. So why meat isn't banned!? Oh wait, protection for something isn't equal to be vegetarian or banning abortion.

Many people have asked the question, why is Dalton McGuinty attacking the Church and advocating a radical sex agenda with Bill 13? He comes from a large Catholic family of ten children and has four children of his own. The answer is complex; however one major force is his partner in the campaign, American gay activist Dan Savage, who is the creator of the “It Gets Better Project.” After introducing Bill 13, the Premier released his promotional video “It Gets Better” in cooperation with Dan Savage.

Mr. Savage is at war against the Bible. He calls it “Bulls—t” and blames the Bible for causing homosexual suicide.
