World mission is changing. While the Canadian church
still has the responsibility to take the gospel into the entire world, God
in his sovereignty has brought the world here.
Yet many churches are unaware of ‘the world next
door’ – and unequipped to reflect the diversity of
Christ’s global church.
The OM Canada Challenges initiative provides churches
with that important first step: seeing the opportunities, training in
effective cross-cultural ministry and, best of all, putting it into
practice alongside experienced workers.
It’s an opportunity for churches to ‘think
outside the box’ of what is achievable in community ministry; for
Christians to stretch their faith, and discover the joy of expressing that
faith; and for people of other faiths to consider the claims, new life and
community Jesus Christ offers.
