A bird’s-eye view of the great epochs of Christian history from the earliest days in the Roman Empire through the middle ages and the Protestant Reformation to the evangelical movements of the 18th and 19th centuries and the rise of a truly global Christianity in our own time.Donald Tinder, BA, MDIV, MA, MPHIL, PHD, is Professor of Historical Theology and coordinator of the PhD program at the Evangelical Theological Faculty (ETF) in Leuven, Belgium. Formerly Academic Dean and Professor at Tyndale Theological Seminary in the Netherlands, and adjunct professor at Olivet Theological Seminary, San Francisco, he is an authority on the history of evangelical Christianity. Many of his writings have appeared in Christianity Today, where he served as Associate Editor before moving to Europe.
