International Russian Radio/TV

The recent 'Power to Change' campaigns in the Russian cities of Volgograd, Ufa and Petrozavodsk were highly successful. These and many other Russian cities are targeted for special media campaigns on a level that has never been witnessed before in Russia. According to pastors in Volgograd, 50,000 people expressed a desire to make a commitment to Jesus Christ. The city outreaches touch thousands of people daily through TV and radio broadcasts aired on government and commercial stations.

The main media used is television. Over 900 TV and radio spots and programs have been aired in each city. Content was provided by local believers with moving life stories of how God gave them the power to change.

Live telecasts with a call-in option gave thousands of viewers the chance to speak directly to the people in front of the cameras and ask questions.

New to the Petrozavodsk campaign was The Jesus Film, which was shown to 30,000 people at over 100 showings at 10 separate locations in the city. Each showing included an altar call and prayer.

All the churches involved are praying that this did not just produce an elevated interest in spiritual matters but the whole region will continue to experience an outpouring of the Holy Spirit as in the day of Pentecost.

This is also the prayer of the team at IRR/TV. We ask that you would join us in prayer at this special time of ministry in Russia.
