Iran prayer guide
 IRAN 30, a new prayer guide to help Christians discover what is happening behind the scenes in Iran and pray effectively, is being launched this week. The website contains sample pages and a 90-second video about the book. The authors, 'Elam Ministries,' are aiming for 100,000 Christians to use IRAN 30 in 2009. The guide is commended by a number of Christian leaders, such as Ravi Zacharias.
Muslim outreach
The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada's Canadian Network of Ministries to Muslims is planning to invite pastors, ministry leaders and church leaders in the Greater Toronto area to an outreach prayer and planning meeting in September, for establishing effective Muslim outreach networks. The goal is to strategize effectively to reach the Muslims in your local neighbourhood.

New Catholic web emphasis
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver has launched a brand new 'Web of Faith' website, representing a qualitative advance in denominational representation. "Our website offers new ways of presenting the Gospel message of hope," said BC Catholic editor Paul Schratz. Recent generations, he said, have "drifted . . . they haven't had a relationship with the Church. This technology lets us build that relationship."
Ambrose president appointed
Howard Wilson will be the new president of Ambrose University College in Calgary, effective August 1. He was previously vice president at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.
