Why would we be surprised that the masses are not interested in Jesus, when what we have been preaching is a shame based, guilt centered gospel. Scripture teaches us that God is not holding sin against us. Even most Christian I have spoken to don't have a revelation of who they are in Christ. For most people being a Christian is about keeping the 10 commandments and going to a Sunday service. That is NOT the Gospel.
"If you were a pastor of a church and a man came in and disrupted your service on Sunday, in whatever manner he thinks is right, you would perhaps let him lead the service"
It's this tragic perception and the disempowering spectator Sunday service that has de-railed the body of Christ. I'm also disturbed to hear you say YOUR service.
O Dear
The problem with Main Line churches today, it that, "THEY ONLY WANT TO PREACH WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT TO HEAR" not What tyhe bible really has to say!! If the people do not like what is being said, they complain to the head of the church. Like I did not like what the minister said in his service, he stepped on my toes and hurt my spirit. Too bad , maybe they need to hear the word directly from the BIBLE>. Where in the BIBLE dose it say that the followers of Jesus were sent to school to learn?? The Holy Spirit gave them the message. None of them had degrees and big fancy letters behind their names for Bachelor of divinity , or Theology. people want the ministers of the WORD to please them>>

Obviously, your definition of hypocrisy is different than mine. If you were a pastor of a church and a man came in and disrupted your service on sunday, in whatever manner he thinks is right, you would perhaps let him lead the service. How's that for reality?

It's funny how Ian Mckerracher starts with a comment saying that thinking higer of yourself is ungodly and ends his comment with calling John Plum a crack-pot. How's that for hypocrisy.
Mr. Plum,
I am afraid that I cannot support your methodology even if I agree with your position. To go in and disrupt a meeting of Christians because you think of yourself higher than them is ungodly. If you disrupted a Wiccan meeting I would denounce the action the same way. The scripture is quite plain that everything should be done decently and in order. Your behavior is neither one. Grow up and become part of the Church instead of casting your stones from the outside. The Church of Jesus Christ is weaker because of your prideful non-submission, and will not change because some crack-pot demands it.

God Has been shown me the state of the Churches, as I have been kicked out of a number of churches for getting down on my kneds to pray. One person even told me that he was going to call the police if I didn't get up & leave. I've even prayed all night in casinos because they have been open 24 hrs while the churches locks out the very people that what to pray & others that need our help! The Church is Sick & needs healing which only God can bring but can't as long as he is locked out side & only invited in twice a week for a few hours. He whats to lead us to his Kindom, but were to busy in our kindom to let him. We spell God backwords "Dog" & take him out on a lease 2 times a week or as we feel he needs to get some air. God forgive us for this sick way we treat you & change the way we think just as you have been working on my heart. As one crying out from the wilderness make straight the way of the Lord!!!

Most professional Christian leaders cant go there because it raises questions that in most cases will threaten their positions.
