Margot Bartsch, who owns the Fraser Valley Tutor Doctor franchise, received the Franchise of the Year award at the second Tutor Doctor conference in Orlando, Florida in December. She won the Mentorship Award at the first conference in December 2009.

The annual events  are attended by owners of the 200 franchises from around the world.

The Fraser Valley Tutor Doctor franchise helps students from Surrey to Hope who are struggling in school or want to improve their grades.

Bartsch said the franchise has allowed her to combine her interests in education and business, and “make a difference.”
