Carter called up

February 23, 2012 by Jim Coggins Leave a Comment

Hall of Fame baseball catcher Gary Carter passed away February 16 due to brain tumours at the age of 57. Carter played for 21 seasons, including 12 for the Montreal Expos, and won a World Series with the New York Mets. Carter was also known as a committed Christian. He established the Gary Carter Foundation to raise money for underprivileged school children, and told his story in the book Still a Kid at Heart: My Life in Baseball and Beyond.
