TWU Spartans, winners of the Volleyball Championships

Trinity Western University Spartans defeated Laval University on March 4, 2012 to win the Canadian University Sport (CIS) national volleyball championship. It was the third national men’s volleyball championship for the Spartans, who joined CIS in 1999-2000. They previously won in 2011 and 2006. The Spartans placed three players on the CIS all-star team, including Most Valuable Player Ben Bell. The Spartans finished the season with 34 wins and only 2 losses. Trinity Western is a Christian university in Langley, BC, and competes in CIS against the largest universities in the country.
