Vibe Awards 2004

June 12, 2004 by Max Leave a Comment

The Vibes, Canada’s ‘people’s choice’ Gospel awards, held their third annual event May 15 at Queensway Cathedral in Etobicoke, Ontario. The televised ceremony featured performances by Jill Paquette, Fresh IE, Thousand Foot Krutch, Toronto Mass Choir, Hiram Joseph and Jon Buller.

The big winners were Steve Bell, who took two awards, including Artist of the Year; and B.C.-born Jill Paquette, who won three — including Contemporary / Pop Album of the Year.

Another B.C.-related winner was Lianna Klassen’s Once Upon a Time Forever After. The album, which won for Seasonal Album of the Year, was produced at Roy Salmond’s studio in Surrey.
